Discovering the Var’s religious heritage
The abbeys of La Celle and Le Thoronet are the best-known monuments, but every town and village in the Var region has one or more churches.
To promote these sites, the Département has launched Sur les traces des monastères, an itinerary based on the Var’s religious heritage. Using digital tools, this project enables visitors to discover a selection of 17 religious sites located throughout the region.
